Senior Paralegal Cosette Blasquez

Cosette Blasquez was born in Mexico City, The versatility of her work derives from her extensive education and experience in multiple areas surrounding the operations of a business such as human resources, project management, customer service, and accounting among others. Cosette attended San Diego State University and obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration and Sociology graduating with a focus on Criminology. Since then, she has been certified as an Immigration Paralegal by American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She attended AILA conferences in 2013, 2017.

With more than 16 years of experience in the immigration field, Cosette, a Senior Immigration Paralegal, provides expert case preparation to businesses around the world with a particular focus on business growth and a path toward residency.  Cosette has managed all kinds of immigration cases, including Adjustment of Status, VAWA, U Visa, E-1, E-2, TN, H1B, EB-1, EB-2, PERM, and Naturalization among others.  Working side by side with both clients and attorneys Cosette makes sure cases are filed timely, have met quality standards, and the outcome is positive.  To date, Cosette has also served as a paralegal in immigration, litigation, tribal law, and bankruptcy.

Before joining Remus Law, Cosette worked as an immigration professional in multiple positions from the front desk to managing one of the top immigration law firms in California.

As an immigrant herself, Cosette is greatly empathetic to client's needs. Having grown up in a border town, Cosette moved to the United States as a teenager. She faced countless obstacles adapting to life in America including having to learn a new language, adapt to a new school system, and fight the uphill battle for the American Dream. Once Cosette discovered Immigration Law during an internship at a prestigious law firm in San Diego—the same immigration firm that processed her immigration application when she was a child—Cosette decided to dedicate her life to helping other people chase the American Dream with her.
